The Jamaica Market is getting a face lift!

It’s owner and operator, the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, will be making some major renovations over the next few months to the interior and exterior of the market to modernize the building and to make it an even more welcoming place for the community to eat, shop and socialize. Some of the changes will include a fresh coat of paint, a new roof and new restrooms.

There will also be changes and improvements for some of the tenants. For instance, Anita’s Gift Emporium will be moving to a new location in the market, closer to other vendors with similar product offerings and Sakura Japan will be expanding their business to allow them to offer a greater selection of Japanese specialties.
